DESCRIPTION:
French lacquered brass, brilliants, and beveled glass "Anglaise riche" case 8 day time and strike carriage clock, c1890
CONDITION:
the old lacquered finish is spotty and dull in place, but still looks good. Two of the beveled glasses have corner chips; the other glasses are okay. The porcelain dial is fine, surrounded by rhinestones and a very ornate cast and pierced mask. Some of the glass stones are slightly smaller, probably replacements, and there are extras in a bag inside the base. There is a small unexplained hole in the back bottom of the case. The unsigned movement will tick and strike, but needs cleaning. Ht to handle top 8"
